Coachman's Golf Resort

Coachman's Golf Resort in southern Wisconsin near Madison takes two things very seriously: golf and food. The Coachman family began with a restaurant, Coachman's, more than 40 years ago, then added a hotel. Homer Fieldhouse designed nine holes in 1968, another nine in 1970 and a third nine in 1991. The golf courses meander through woods and over rolling hills. Today, there are 61 hotel rooms spread across four buildings, all just a stroll from the golf course and Coachman's Restaurant that has airs of an English inn. The restaurant is a destination itself, too, with a gourmet menu and a nationally acclaimed wine list.
