Resort Overview
Situated on a barrier island off of Georgia's southeastern coast, the Jekyll Island Club Hotel offers secluded beaches covered with sand dunes and a lush landscape of saltwater marshes and moss-draped oak trees. Guests can take a horseback ride or ride a bike to explore the Island. Originally opened in 1888, the impressive list of past members includes Marshall Field, J.P. Morgan, and Joseph Pulitzer. The beautiful Queen Anne architectural style of the clubhouse is a reminder of the long and rich history of Jekyll Island. Today, resort guests can take in the historic setting while still enjoying all the modern luxuries of a resort. The hotel boasts a nine-mile beach where guests can go kayaking or canoeing. Charter fishing and dolphin tours are also available. On land, there are three 18-hole golf courses and one nine-hole course as well as thirteen clay tennis courts.
