We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center

The We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center in Fountain Hills, Arizona is a Scottsdale-area resort surrounded by the Sonoran Desert and located next to Fort McDowell Casino. The resort has 246 guest rooms and suites with decor influenced by Native American traditions. Each room has free high-speed Internet access with whirlpool baths and Sleep Number beds in some rooms. Guests can enjoy on-site dining at the Ahnala Restaurant and Lounge, which specializes in Southwestern cuisine. The restaurant also does room service. The resort offers several amenities, including a casino, business center, spa and gift boutique. There's also a fitness center and two heated outdoor pools. The hotel welcomes groups, meetings and weddings. The facility has 15 meeting rooms, on-site catering and a full-service audio/video service as well as event planning services. We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is the resort's daily-fee golfing option with two 18-hole courses. The club features the original course (the Scott Miller-designed Cholla) as well as the Saguaro course, which was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2006. Several area attractions are located near the hotel on the grounds of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. They include McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Saguaro Lake and Marina, Bass Pro Shop shopping center, the Old Town Scottsdale Shopping District and the Phoenix Zoo.
